Sage acquires Bangert to Strengthen Intacct Construction Onboarding

Written by Publisher and Editors of The ERP Update | Aug 20, 2026, 4:45:00 AM

Sage, a leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), has  announced it has acquired Bangert, a long-standing Sage partner and specialist in AI-enabled implementation and onboarding for construction financial management.

The acquisition brings Bangert's deep construction expertise, industry-proven implementation methodology and scalable onboarding technology into Sage.

For customers, this means a faster, more predictable path to Sage Intacct Construction. By simplifying implementation, Sage makes it easier for construction businesses to move to the cloud with greater confidence, accelerate time to value, reduce deployment risk, and stay focused on delivering successful construction projects. It also creates a stronger foundation for continued innovation in onboarding and customer success.

Unlike many industries, construction businesses manage multiple projects across different entities, subcontractors, suppliers and job sites, making the adoption of new financial management software particularly complex. Bangert’s AskRichard platform combines guided, AI-enabled workflows and expert implementation support to simplify deployment while giving customers access to trusted knowledge throughout the onboarding journey.

"Bangert has built a strong reputation for helping construction businesses successfully adopt Sage Intacct Construction," said Dan Miller, EVP, Financials and ERP Division, Sage. "We've worked together successfully for many years, and this acquisition is a natural next step. It helps customers get up and running faster and realize value sooner, while creating new opportunities for partners to support their adoption."

What Bangert brings to Sage

Building on a successful long-term relationship, the acquisition represents another step in Sage’s plans to modernize how construction businesses adopt and realize value from financial management solutions.

Bangert combines deep construction expertise with AI-enabled guidance and a proven implementation approach. Together, these capabilities strengthen Sage Intacct Construction today while creating a scalable foundation for future AI-enabled onboarding and customer experiences.

“We've always believed successful implementation is about more than technology,” said
Reid Bangert, President Bangert. “It's about giving customers confidence from day one and helping them achieve value as quickly as possible. Joining Sage allows us to bring that approach to more construction businesses while continuing to simplify how customers adopt Sage Intacct Construction.”
