NetSuite Next Rollout Begins and new AI-powered NetSuite capabilities

Written by Publisher and Editors of The ERP Update | Jul 15, 2026 2:00:00 PM

As part of NetSuite release 2026.2, we are beginning the North America rollout of NetSuite Next, the next generation of NetSuite with AI built into its core. It will first be available to customers in the United States and Canada, with other countries planned to follow shortly after.

NetSuite Next introduces Ask Oracle, their conversational AI assistant, as the foundational AI capability at the core of the experience. Combined with the award-winning Redwood Design System, embedded AI, contextual intelligence, and agentic workflows, NetSuite Next helps users move more naturally from questions to answers—and from answers to action—marking a significant evolution in how people interact with ERP systems.

What makes NetSuite Next different is its deep understanding of how businesses operate. For nearly 30 years, NetSuite has helped organizations manage finance, operations, sales, customer service, inventory, projects, and industry-specific processes in one system. That experience is reflected throughout an extensible suite including the workflows, business logic, controls, metrics, roles, permissions, and best practices that support both long-term strategic planning and day-to-day operations. As the system of record for organizations around the world, NetSuite brings a level of business context and operational understanding that generic AI tools cannot easily replicate.

Moving to NetSuite Next

NetSuite understands each business is different, and they want to give their customers the ability to adopt AI at their own pace. With that in mind, customers in the United States and Canada will have the option to:

  • Try NetSuite Next in a dedicated preview account, and
  • Enable their users to switch to NetSuite Next

The availability of NetSuite Next is a huge milestone for NetSuite – it’s the biggest update to NetSuite since it was first launched in 1998 – but it’s not the only thing in the the latest release.

Ask Oracle Also Available in NetSuite

Ask Oracle is now available as a companion for existing NetSuite customers in the United States and Canada to start benefiting from a conversational AI assistant in their NetSuite account before switching to NetSuite Next.

Ask Oracle enables users to interact with NetSuite through natural language by answering questions, analyzing business data, surfacing insights, giving guidance, and helping users make better decisions and take action in the context of their work.

Because Ask Oracle operates within each customer’s NetSuite environment, it respects existing roles, permissions, reporting structures, and business configuration, helping ensure users receive trusted answers based on the information they are already authorized to access. Users can also see how Ask Oracle arrived at its answers, helping build trust and confidence in AI-generated insights.

Customers can familiarize themselves with Ask Oracle within their existing NetSuite environment, then extend that experience with NetSuite Next, where Ask Oracle becomes more capable because it is deeply embedded throughout the user experience and provides the foundation for richer AI-powered capabilities.

New AI and Automation Capabilities

NetSuite is also introducing numerous new AI and automation capabilities to help customers further optimize financial operations, gain deeper insight into financial results and operating costs, and improve workflows in key industries. New capabilities include:

  • NetSuite Intelligent Flux Analysis: Helps finance teams quickly identify why account balances changed between reporting periods through AI-generated variance explanations.

  • AI Transaction Matching and Suggestions Workspace: Helps finance teams resolve ambiguous matches with greater speed and accuracy. AI-powered recommendations surface likely matches and associated rationale, while a dedicated suggestions workspace gives teams a place to review potential matches before reconciliation.

  • Bank Reconciliation Workflow Improvements: Help finance teams move through matching and review with more automation and fewer steps. By streamlining the reconciliation process, teams can reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and complete period-end activities with greater confidence.

  • AI-Powered Labor Cost Insights: Help CFOs understand how workforce costs impact revenue and profitability through AI-generated reports and summaries.

  • NetSuite Connector for ADP Workforce Now: Helps HR and finance teams streamline payroll-to-finance processes with a managed data flow. The connector synchronizes employee records, payroll journal entries, and paycheck data between ADP Workforce Now and NetSuite, while integrated validation, duplicate prevention, and centralized monitoring help improve efficiency and data accuracy.

Industry Updates

NetSuite is also expanding their industry-specific capabilities across the suite. These capabilities help customers address the unique challenges of their businesses with innovations designed for the way they operate.

Software Industry:

  • Externally Rated Billing Usage: Helps software companies improve usage-based billing processes by supporting data rated outside of NetSuite in SuiteBilling. This gives teams more flexibility to manage complex billing models while maintaining clearer visibility into customer usage and revenue activity.

  • Renewal and Retention Workspace: Helps software companies nurture customers and mitigate churn risk. The workspace gives teams a centralized view of renewal activity, customer trends, and key indicators so they can better identify risks, prioritize follow-up, and support recurring revenue growth.

  • Customer Subscription Health Score: Helps software companies bring together key performance, usage, and retention indicators. The dashboard gives teams a clearer view of customer engagement and potential risk areas, helping them take action earlier to protect and grow recurring revenue.

Healthcare Industry:

  • Healthcare Dashboard: Helps healthcare organizations bring key financial and operational metrics into a single view. The dashboard gives teams visibility into revenue, collections, payer mix, provider performance, visit volume, and accounts receivable aging, helping leaders better understand performance across patient care and billing operations.

With NetSuite Next, Ask Oracle, and the latest AI-powered capabilities across finance, operations, software, and healthcare, NetSuite is making it easier for customers to put their business data to work. These updates are designed to help teams find answers faster, reduce manual effort, and act with more confidence from within the system they already use to run their business.
